Why Zephyrgear
A repair that explains itself
Watch servicing should not be a mystery. At Zephyrgear, every choice made on your watch is communicated clearly, documented, and done only with your agreement.

What makes the difference
In-house expertise
Work is done on-site by the same team. No third-party workshops, no anonymous hands on your watch.
Written records
Service summaries document findings, parts replaced, and timing results — kept with the watch for future reference.
Scope agreed upfront
Nothing is added to a job without your knowledge. Unexpected findings are communicated before work continues.
Clear pricing in Thai Baht
Service prices are published and discussed before any work begins. No vague estimates that expand after drop-off.
Original character preserved
Older pieces are not over-finished. Dial patina and case wear are treated as part of the watch, not as faults to be removed.
Based in Khon Kaen
A local address, a direct phone line, and the same people each time you visit. No courier dependency, no extended absences.
Genuine craft knowledge
The watchmaker working on your piece has spent over a decade handling mechanical and quartz movements of varying complexity. That time translates into an ability to diagnose problems that a generalist technician would miss — and to know when a movement is better left alone than over-serviced.
- Mechanical automatics, hand-winds, and quartz movements
- Vintage and contemporary pieces treated with equal attention
- Horological-grade tools and lubricants throughout
In practice
A customer brought in a late 1970s automatic that had been running two minutes fast per day. Rather than a full overhaul, a timing adjustment and light clean returned it to within twenty seconds daily — saving the owner several thousand baht and keeping the original surface finish intact.
In practice
Each watch received is logged with a reference number, photographed in its received state, and stored securely until the assessment appointment. This means there is a clear record from the moment the watch arrives, regardless of how long it stays with us.
A clear, consistent process
Every watch follows the same intake path: documented reception, written assessment, scope agreement, and a summary at collection. This is not bureaucracy — it means you always know where things stand, and the watch is never worked on in ways that were not discussed.
- Documented intake with reference number
- Written assessment shared before work begins
- Collection with printed service summary
Direct communication, always
When you call or write to Zephyrgear, you reach the workshop — not an automated system or a distant booking agent. Questions are answered by the people who have actually handled the watch. This is a small operation, and that is an advantage for the customer.
- Direct phone and email contact with workshop staff
- Progress updates for longer jobs
- Questions welcomed before, during, and after service
Opening hours
The workshop is open Monday to Saturday, 9:00 to 18:00. Drop-in visits are welcome within those hours. For complex enquiries or restoration consultations, calling ahead to arrange a dedicated time is appreciated.
Published prices
Transparent pricing, no surprises
Service prices are published on the website and confirmed in writing before any work begins. If the scope needs to change mid-service, the conversation happens before the cost changes — not after collection.

What Sets Us Apart
Distinctions that matter
The printed service summary
Very few workshops in the region produce a written record at collection. Ours includes the movement's condition on arrival, what was done, parts replaced (if any), and post-service timing results. Useful to store alongside the watch for its lifetime.
The mid-job pause
If something unexpected is found once a movement is open, work stops and you are contacted. This is standard practice here, not an exception. Your decision determines what happens next.
Maintenance interval guidance
At collection, we suggest when the watch would typically next benefit from attention — based on its movement type and what we observed during the service. Not a sales prompt, just a practical note.
Local permanent address
Zephyrgear operates from a fixed location in Nai Mueang, Khon Kaen. There is a reliable phone number, an email address, and a physical workshop you can walk into during opening hours.
