Why Zephyrgear

A workshop that takes its time

Detailed assessment first

Every watch is examined before any work begins. You receive a clear description of what the piece needs — and what it does not.

Written service records

Movement Care and restoration work comes with a printed summary you can store with the watch — useful for future servicing or appraisal.

No pressure, no rush

We work to a pace that suits the job, not an arbitrary turnaround target. You will be informed of progress and given realistic timelines.

Mechanical and quartz accepted

From battery-powered everyday watches to vintage automatics, the workshop handles a range of movement types without outsourcing the work.

Respect for original character

Older pieces are not over-polished or updated beyond their period. The goal is to return function while keeping the watch looking its age.

Local, accessible workshop

Based in Khon Kaen's Nai Mueang area, the workshop is easy to reach. Drop-off and collection are handled in person with a brief conversation about your watch.

Bring your watch in for a look

Whether it stopped last week or has been sitting in a drawer for years, the first step is simply a conversation about what it needs.

Common Questions

Things worth knowing

How long does a typical service take?

Simple services (battery, seal, strap) are usually completed within one to two working days. Movement Care takes around one to two weeks depending on the movement's condition. Restoration work is quoted individually — some pieces need several weeks, and we will confirm the timeline before beginning.

Do you work on any brand or only certain makes?

We work with a wide range of watches — Japanese, Swiss, and local Thai-market pieces. If a movement requires proprietary factory tooling or brand-specific parts that are not commercially available, we will tell you honestly at the assessment stage rather than proceed without the right equipment.

What does the assessment involve?

We examine the watch visually, check the timekeeping accuracy, and note any obvious wear or damage. For mechanical pieces, we open the case back to observe the movement's general state. You receive a brief written note on what we found and what the recommended path forward is.

What if the cost will be higher than the original estimate?

If we open the movement and find work that goes beyond the original scope, we pause and contact you before continuing. Nothing additional is done without your agreement. If you decide not to proceed, you pay only for the assessment.

How should I prepare my watch for drop-off?

No special preparation is needed. If you have the original box or any service history, bringing that along helps us understand the piece's background — but it is entirely optional. Just come in during opening hours, and we will have a brief conversation about the watch before you leave it with us.

What payment methods are accepted?

We accept cash (Thai Baht) and major bank transfers at collection. A deposit may be requested for restoration work exceeding ฿15,000. We will confirm payment arrangements when the quote is agreed.
