1. Introduction

Zephyrgear ("we", "our", "the workshop") is a watch repair and servicing business located at 119/4 Sri Chan Road, Nai Mueang, Mueang Khon Kaen, Khon Kaen 40000, Thailand. We take the privacy of the people who contact us and use our website seriously. This policy sets out how we collect, use, and protect personal information when you interact with us — whether through our website, by phone, by email, or in person at the workshop.

If you have questions about this policy, please write to us at [email protected].

2. Personal Data We Collect

We collect only the information necessary to provide our services and respond to enquiries. This includes:

  • Name and contact details — collected when you submit our enquiry form, phone us, or email us directly.
  • Phone number — if provided, used to communicate about your watch service status.
  • Watch details — brand, age, condition, and service history, to carry out the repair work you request.
  • Website usage data — collected automatically via cookies if you have consented (see Section 5 below).

We do not collect payment card information directly. Any financial transactions are handled in person or via bank transfer.

Legal basis for processing: Contract (to carry out watch repair services), legitimate interest (to respond to enquiries and communicate about jobs in progress), and consent (for cookies and optional marketing communications).

Retention periods: Service records and associated contact information are retained for three years from the date of service, after which they are securely deleted. Enquiry data where no service was carried out is deleted within six months.

3. How We Use Your Information

  • To respond to your enquiry and provide a service quote
  • To carry out the watch repair or servicing work you have requested
  • To communicate progress updates while your watch is with us
  • To maintain a service record for your watch
  • To improve our website and understand how visitors use it (analytics, with consent)

We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling. We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

4. Data Sharing

We do not share your personal data with third-party marketing companies. We may share data with the following categories of service providers where necessary:

  • Website hosting and analytics — service providers who process visitor data on our behalf, subject to data processing agreements.
  • Parts suppliers — where sourcing parts for a restoration requires sharing the watch model and reference only (no personal data).
  • Legal authorities — if required by Thai law or a valid legal request.

5. Cookies

Our website uses cookies to understand how visitors use the site and to improve the experience. These are divided into essential cookies (required for basic site functionality) and optional cookies (analytics, preferences) which are only placed with your consent.

You can manage your cookie preferences at any time via our Cookie Policy page.

6. Data Security

We take reasonable precautions to protect personal information stored digitally and in paper form. These include:

  • Secure, password-protected systems for digital records
  • Physical documents stored in a locked cabinet within the workshop
  • Access to personal data restricted to workshop staff directly involved in service work
  • Website traffic transmitted over HTTPS

In the event of a data breach that could affect your rights, we will notify affected individuals without undue delay and in accordance with Thai personal data protection obligations.

7. Your Rights

Under the Thailand Personal Data Protection Act B.E. 2562 (PDPA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:

  • Access — the right to request a copy of the personal data we hold about you.
  • Rectification — the right to ask us to correct inaccurate data.
  • Erasure — the right to request deletion of your personal data, subject to legal retention requirements.
  • Restriction — the right to request that we limit how we process your data in certain circumstances.
  • Data portability — the right to receive your data in a commonly used, machine-readable format.
  • Objection — the right to object to processing based on legitimate interest.
  • Withdraw consent — where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw it at any time.

To exercise any of these rights, write to [email protected]. We will respond within 30 days. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Personal Data Protection Committee (PDPC) in Thailand.
